I’m lucky enough to live close to Porteau Cove Provincial Park along the Sea to Sky Highway in Vancouver. Porteau Cove has become an increasingly popular stargazing spot and offers one of the best locations in the lower mainland for night photography.
I’m new to photography and astrophotography has been one subject I find really interesting. I scour YouTube watching tutorial videos on almost every topic but came across this one from Julia Trotti which does an excellent job explaining the equipment she uses for astrophotography and why she decided to use it.
She also uses a couple of different lenses in her tutorial so you can see the comparisons between a budget lens and expensive one just in case you are just getting started in astrophotography and don’t want to break the bank.
This is a great tutorial for anyone looking to expand their astrophotography capabilities.
